Live Beyond Organic

Live Beyond Organic

Change Your Diet - Change Your Life - Change Your World

Jordan S. Rubin

Live Beyond Organic by Jordan S. Rubin is aimed at people who want to step away from a genetically modified, MSG society and feed their bodies the food that they are meant to have.  It is highly recommended as a book study to individuals or church groups that want to use congregational food to set an example that can help their members live healthier, longer lives.

Many people do not know what the word “healthy” means, which makes it hard to identify healthy food. Rubin will teach you the advantages and limitations of eating organic food and help you understand what the word “organic” really means. He covers many ways physical health is affected by mental, emotional and spiritual health.

On a personal level, Rubin tells an amazing story of going from a deathbed state with Crone’s Disease to being in the greatest shape of his life. He glorifies God with his journey, saying, “the world is not going to believe what God is about to do in my life.” Before his transformation, he weighed 111 pounds and you could count almost every rib.

Live Beyond Organic is a story about how healthy eating transformed an unhealthy life into a healthy one—and how it can do that for others as well. The author learned that we should (1) eat what God created for food, and (2)eat foods in a form that are healthy for the body. After he adopted this philosophy, he became healthy.  “Within a few weeks, I no longer resembled the proverbial ninety-eight-pound weakling that tough guys kicked sand over at Mission Beach,” he said.

Live beyond Organic, like Gary Thomas’ Every Body Matters, is one of those books that can get a congregation in the right frame of mind to tackle a curriculum like the Daniel Plan. See www.wvhealthyfaith.com for a full list of curriculum ideas.
